William Crawley awarded RSUA Honorary Membership

25/10/23

William Crawley was awarded RSUA Honorary Membership at RSUA’s annual Architecture Night, which was held at the King’s Hall on Friday 20 October 2023.

William is one of Northern Ireland’s leading journalists and broadcasters and the current presenter of Talkback on Radio Ulster. He is also the presenter of ‘Sunday’ on BBC Radio 4.

William has been a long-standing supporter of the RSUA Design Awards. He has twice been the lay judge on the panel, most recently in 2016. In that role he has brought a wonderfully critical eye, a natural curiosity and he has enriched the heated debates over what projects are truly award worthy. William has also hosted the Awards Gala Evening on a number of occasions over the years.

As well as his support for driving architectural standards through the awards, William has been active in prompting public discourse on many issues relating to architecture and built environment in Northern Ireland.

RSUA President Paul McAlister presented William with his Honorary Membership.
