
As part of RSUA’s 2025-2028 four year plan, RSUA committed to a review of the peer-approved Design Quality Panel. The RSUA Design Quality Panel was launched in 2017, with the intention to to assist clients and others with a range of matters including:
Following discussions at RSUA Council, it was decided that panel membership would be refreshed and that the services offered through the panel would be enhanced to encourage wider use. The first step of this review has been to refresh the panel’s membership.
All RSUA members were invited to nominate up to 3 architects to join the panel. 45 architects were nominated and 36 of those indicated their willingness to be considered. In advance of the June RSUA Council meeting, Council members were asked to review the submissions from these 36 architects and complete an online poll indicating their provisional views on who should be invited to join the panel.
Nominees who achieved 75% support from RSUA Council were proposed for acceptance on to the Design Quality Panel 2026-2030.

Members of the panel will be reviewed annually.
The next phase of the renewal of the Design Quality Panel will include the development of a code of conduct, as well as a detailed menu of the services offered and their costs.
