Queen’s University Belfast is offering two part-time masters that will be of interest to architects. Funded by the Department for the Economy, the courses start in September and will be delivered over two years with a half day of lectures and workshops per week.

The Building Information Modelling Project Management Higher Level Apprenticeship, which has ten places fully funded, teaches the principles of project management while using building information modelling. It’s about balancing theory and practice – a mixture of hands-on building, manipulation and management of models, as well as consideration of the higher level analytical and critical thinking skills that come with Masters Level education.  You can find out more here.

The Construction and Project Management Higher Level Apprenticeship, which has fifteen places fully funded, will teach participants to apply management methods to design, engineering and construction problems, and be able to be plan, monitor and control construction projects by integrating technical knowledge with leadership, commercial and managerial skills.
