£25.00

‘deconstruct’ & ‘Pym’

The ‘deconstruct’ and ‘Pym’ poster ranges were developed from a series of collages, drawings and prints inspired by the Brutalist architecture of the Ulster Museum in Belfast, focusing on forms of architect Francis Pym’s cubist concrete structure.
Drawings of the building are translated into shapes then collaged, reconfigured in different ways. The layering of various viewpoints of this mid-century modernist building makes new abstract compositions. The collages incorporate cardboard from discarded packaging. The fold lines & glue marks on the card are
integrated in to works as they echo the construction lines and ageing process of Pym’s concrete statement.
