New Architects Party

12/05/2021

On Friday 7 May, RSUA hosted the New Architects Party for those who had successfully completed their Part 3 exams to recognise their achievement and to welcome them into the profession. This informal get together over drinks and charcuterie (provided by HAYS) also gave attendees a chance to ‘meet up’ with everyone from their studies. The deliberately grainy image above is a salutary reminder of the limitations of this form of gathering.

Those who joined heard about some early career experiences from Jane Larmour (winner of the RIAI Future Award), Micah T Jones (winner of RSUA House of the Year 2018) and Matthew Kernan and Eunan Deeney (winners of the RSUA/JP Corry Early Career Design Competition for SoundYard). James Grieve also attended to introduce the work of the Early Career Architects Forum.

The event was chaired by RSUA President Donal MacRandal and marked the group’s status as newly (and fully) qualified architects.
