Making Space 2016
Making Space 2016 is an international award for excellence in the design of spaces for children and young people. It forms part of Scotland’s Festival of Architecture 2016 and the Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design.
If you have designed an inspirational space that benefits children and young people anywhere in the world you are invited to enter the competition.
The charity Children inScotlandwants to celebrate the importance of creating physical spaces that bring out the best in children – indoor or outdoor, from schools, nurseries and hospitals to parks, squares or private homes.
Entries will be judged by a panel of architects with a range of experience in designing places and spaces for our youngest citizens, and of course children and young people themselves.
The submission deadline is 16 September 2016 and winning entries will be showcased online and at an international conference inGlasgow’s Royal Concert Hall on 28-29 November 2016.
