Join the RSUA Digital Design & Innovation Committee

You are invited to join the newly formed RSUA Digital Design & Innovation Committee.
The committee will be chaired by Peter Monaghan, BIM Change Manager at Southern Regional College (SRC). Peter oversees the implementation of digital innovation processes for the college’s capital projects and minor works.
The committee’s draft remit is as follows:
Headline purpose
To help architects in Northern Ireland utilise digital innovations and information management Standards more effectively to benefit clients.
How this purpose will be achieved
- Signpost members to knowledge resources.
- Engage with the Construction Procurement and Delivery unit (CPD) at the Department of Finance to assist in the development of policies regarding information management and ISO19650 Standards.
- Engage and co-ordinate with other bodies in Northern Ireland and beyond who seek to promote the benefits of digital innovations and information management.
- Propose opportunities for learning, particularly for architects and university students, in relation to digital design / construction / maintenance and information management. For example, topics and expert speakers for training events, resources for architects etc.
- Maintain a presence on the RSUA website.
- Promote the RSUA in social media regarding digital design and innovation as well as information management Standards.
When: The first meeting of the committee will take place in-person at 1pm on 11 March 2025 in RSUA, 2 Mount Charles, Belfast, BT7 1NZ

We are proposing in the first instance that the committee meet on a quarterly basis and have earmarked the following dates for 2025:
- 29 April 2025
- 17 June 2025
- 23 September 2025
- 12 November 2025
The final remit of the committee will be discussed and agreed at the first meeting on 11 March 2025.
