Experienced Architectural Technician/Technologist

We are seeking a mid–senior level Architectural Technologist or Technician with excellent construction knowledge and a genuine passion for producing the highest quality Stage 4 working drawing and specification packages for Building Control, tender and construction.

You will take pride in technical precision and in producing information that makes ambitious design buildable – on new build and on the sensitive refurbishment of existing and historic buildings.

You will:

• Prepare high-quality RIBA Stage 4 technical design packages – working drawings, details and specifications – for Building Control, tender and construction.

• Develop robust, well-resolved construction details, coordinating structural, MEP and specialist consultant input.

• Prepare and coordinate project specifications.

• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, including fire safety and accessibility requirements.

• Support project teams through tender, construction-stage queries, RFIs and site inspections.

• Help develop the studio’s technical standards, standard details and Autocad and Revit workflows.

Who We’re Looking For

Essential:

• A qualification in Architectural Technology, with membership of CIAT or equivalent.

• Mid to senior level experience preparing Stage 4 working drawing and specification packages.

• Clear evidence of delivery – technical packages taken through Building Control, tender and construction on completed projects.

• Excellent construction knowledge, strong detailing skills and a thorough understanding of Building Regulations.

• excellent proficiency in Autocad and Revit and enthusiastic adopter of evolving AI applications to optimise workflows across practice

• A meticulous, organised approach and the ability to manage technical information across multiple projects.

• A genuine interest in adaptive reuse, conservation and new build in sensitive and historic locations.

• Full driving licence.

Highly desirable:

• Experience of BCAR and of working on projects in the Republic of Ireland.

Desirable:

• Experience of high-end hospitality and/or residential projects.

• Experience of refurbishment or heritage projects.
