We are a specialist architectural and conservation consultancy based in Belfast, working with local authorities, public bodies and private clients on a varied portfolio of heritage-led projects. Due to a strong pipeline of work on both sides of the border, we are seeking to appoint an architect or senior architectural technologist with experience of, or a demonstrable interest in, conservation architecture to join our team.
About the role
You’ll work directly on a varied range of projects spanning:
• Condition surveys heritage assessments on a wide variety of heritage structures.
• Heritage impact assessments and conservation method statements
• Measured surveys, fieldwork and photographic documentation
• The development and detailing of conservation works to a wide range of heritage structures.
• Site inspections, PSDP duties and contract administration on heritage works
About you
Essential:
• Qualified Architect (ARB/RIAI registered) or Architectural Technologist (CIAT or equivalent)
• A genuine interest in historic buildings, materials and traditional construction
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own time on site and in the office
• Strong written communication — our deliverables are report-led and client-facing
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the island of Ireland
Desirable:
• RIAI Grade I/II/III conservation accreditation, RIBA Conservation Register membership, RSUA Conservation Training Certificate, or working towards same
• Working knowledge of Irish and UK Building Regulations
• Experience with building condition surveys
• Familiarity with public procurement frameworks (Irish CWMF / Public Works Contracts, or the Procurement Act 2023 in NI)
• CAD proficiency, BIM (Revit) advantageous but not essential
