Architect

McGirr Architects Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Architect to join our Belfast-based practice.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years’ post-qualification experience, with strong design, technical and project management skills.

The role offers the opportunity to work on a range of projects across the education, community, commercial and residential sectors throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Essential Criteria

– ARB-registered Architect with a minimum of five years’ post-qualification experience.

– Experience in the design, management and delivery of projects across RIBA and/or RIAI Work Stages.

– Strong technical detailing and construction knowledge.

– Experience preparing planning applications, construction drawings, specifications and tender documentation.

– Experience in contract administration and construction-stage delivery.

– Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant architectural software.

– Strong communication, organisational and project management skills.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Criteria

– Experience delivering education or public-sector projects.

– Knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, planning processes and construction contracts.

– Experience using Revit.

– Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
