High Street Task Force: make your views heard with RSUA

In February 2021 the Executive Office formed the High Street Task Force (HSTF).  The Task Force has identified the challenges and issues that our high streets face and is now seeking views on solutions to support our high streets and to contribute to the development of thriving and sustainable city, town and village centres.

The Executive Office has launched a Call for Evidence which closes on 6 December 2021.

RSUA will be responding to this important call for evidence and is seeking members to contribute to a working group that will draft a response. All members will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the draft RSUA response.  If you would be willing to participate in the working group, please contact RSUA’s new Policy and Public Affairs Officer, Emmet Doyle, on emmet@rsua.org.uk. The first meeting of the working group will take place online via Teams at 2pm on Monday 15 November 2021.

In addition to this the Executive Office is holding a series of in-person briefing events where views can be heard and discussed.  The details of these events can be found here

If you have a particular interest in the future of your local high street, I would encourage you to attend the event closest to you as it is important that the views of architects are heard.
