Gender inequality in architecture survey

Fawcett Society and the Royal Institute of British Architecture are working together on a project to examine gender inequity in architecture, and develop an action plan that will address and break down barriers within the profession. This will build upon existing work to make architecture a more inclusive place to work, and in turn, lead to more inclusive design within the built environment. You can find out more information about the project on the RIBA website.

As part of this project, women are asked to fill out a survey to share their views and experiences about working in architecture. The anonymous survey will take around 20 minutes to fill out, and there is a chance to win a £50 voucher for your participation, as well as express interest in a further interview.

The project is particularly keen to hear from a wide range of voices, including those who are disabled, from ethnically minoritised backgrounds, and those with caring responsibilities, so please encourage others to fill out the survey as well.

Complete the Fawcett Society survey here by 22 April 2025.
