Fund offers new opportunities for NI companies

Architects in Northern Ireland are being encourages to work with their clients in the manufacturing, data centres, mining and quarrying and recycling sectors to avail of new funding for projects relating to energy efficiency and decarconisation.

The Industrial Energy Transformation Fund has announced it’s second window for applications by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). Companies in Northern Ireland will have the opportunity to bid for a share of £60 million as part of the next stage of the competition, which is aimed at funding the following types of projects:

  • Studies – feasibility and engineering studies to investigate identified energy efficiency and decarbonisation projects prior to an investment decision.
  • Energy Efficiency projects – deployment of technologies to reduce industrial energy consumption.
  • Deep Decarbonisation projects – deployment of technologies to achieve industrial emissions savings.
