Events Programme August to October 2017
The next few months tend to be a very busy time of the year, so to help you plan we are releasing our provisional autumn events programme today. Along with the 14 events listed below that are now live for booking many more have been scheduled. Details of the following will be announced in the coming weeks:
- 9 September 2017 European Heritage Open Days including an RSUA led tour
- 6 October 2017 Practising Architecture in the Republic of Ireland seminars at the Architecture Expo in Dublin
- 27 October 2017 Architecture Night
- 27-29 October 2017 Open House Belfast – Festival of Architecture and Engineering
- 14 November 2017 QUB’s Peter Rice Lecture by Odile Decq
We plan to restart our Architect Led Building Tours in September and develop seminars on Retention and Recruitment and Nearly Zero Energy Buildings. We are organising an industry wide event with John Cole on the findings of the Edinburgh Schools Inquiry and we hope to soon be announcing the date and speaker for the RSUA Arup Building Inspiration Lecture.

AUGUST
21 August 2017: Golf – Malone

10th & 11th September 2017: Golf – Royal Birkdale
Play with architects from across Britain and Ireland at this fantastic golf course which hosted the 146th British Open Championship just two months ago. Find out more
13 September 2017: Planning: Getting off the transport roundabout

4 October 2017: The Practicalities of the Principal Designer
A one day workshop, appropriate for practices of all types, focusing on the practical and efficient delivery of the Principal Designer role. Participants will be provided with example correspondence and pro formas for future use. Book here
18 October 2017: RSUA Advanced Conservation Course
5 day Advanced Conservation Course which leads to an RSUA Certificate in Architectural Conservation. Suitable for architects and related professionals working in the fields of conservation, refurbishment and restoration who have previously completed the RSUA Conservation Course or equivalent. 20 October 2017: Mediation Masterclass
A two hour masterclass tailored to architects and other construction professionals in partnership with Cleaver Fulton Rankin, featuring Michael Humphreys QC and HKA Global from London. Book here
