
You are warmly invited to join Queen’s University Belfast for a breakfast travel event entitled: ‘Lessons from the Fleadh’.
The event will include a panel discussion and audience Q&A focusing on the need, and potential for, collaboration to support and encourage a nearly car free Belfast. The panel will include representatives from Queen’s University Belfast, Department for Infrastructure and Translink.
Staff and students from Queen’s University Belfast will provide inspiring sustainable commute testimonials with expert assistance on hand from the Translink Journey Planner team and the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust.
The event will be held in-person in the Blue Sky Room, One Elmwood on Tuesday 22 September 2026 from 8.00am until 10.00am. Running order is below. Please note that breakfast will be available from 8.00am-8.30am.

Running Order
Please note that there is limited car parking available within Queen’s University. Whilst there may be on street parking, attendees are encouraged to commute via public transport or by foot/bicycle. Secure cycle parking is available – contact sustainability@qub.ac.uk for further info. Blue badge parking is available within Queen’s University car park.
