
RSUA organised this seminar with Jim Armstrong to keep members up to date with the recent changes.
This online session looked at the updates from the previous iteration along with general advice on how to implement these changes as the architect and/or contract administrator on a project.

Jim Armstrong is a Chartered Architect, Forensic Architect and Expert Witness at JS Held and has over thirty years’ post qualification experience. This includes twenty-five years in private practice, as a Director of an RIBA Chartered Practice, and a health & safety Consultant specialising in compliance with the CDM Regulations.
Jim is presently a panel member Adjudicator on the UK Adjudicators Panel, the CIC Low Value Disputes Register, the CIArb Adjudication Panel, and the Royal Society of Ulster Architects Register. Jim is also a panel member on the CIArb Business Arbitration Scheme Panel and the CIArb Ireland SIMI panel. From 2019 – 2023 Jim was an ARB Inquirer for the Architects Registration Board providing advice to the Investigations Panel in respect of allegation of unacceptable professional conduct [UPC] and /or serious professional incompetence [SPI]. Jim has given evidence and been cross-examined in a number of Inquiries.
