Artificial Intelligence has the potential to reshape the way architects design, plan, and deliver projects. From cost analysis and bid writing to streamlining workflows and comparing design solutions, AI’s influence could reach every corner of architectural practice.
This session continued the series of RSUA CPD events on the theme of AI in architecture. RSUA organised an introductory session to the topic with Niall Patrick Walsh earlier this year. In September, McAdam Design and Peter Monaghan of Southern Regional College presented a case study of generative design in use through the SRC Innovation Centre project in Newry.
This event was designed to be a crash course in generative design for members who may not be familiar with the tools available and who are interested in finding out how generative design software can play different roles through each RIBA stage.
Attendees will gain an understanding of various generative design tools and the ways in which AI can enhance the work of architects by saving time and allowing designers to do what they do best: design.
