The Department for the Economy (DfE) is currently undertaking a public consultation on Using Biofuels to Transition Away from Fossil Fuels for Heating.
The DfE has called for evidence to gather information and perspectives to better understand the opportunities, challenges, and potential risks of using biofuels for heating. The Department is especially interested in exploring how biofuels can work alongside other low-carbon heating solutions.

The deadline for responses is 12 noon on Tuesday, 4 March 2025.
