Officials from the Department of Finance are to lead an online engagement session on proposed changes to building regulations regarding access and use of buildings.
The session will be held at 11am on Wednesday 6 October 2021.
The Department of Finance recently launched a consultation on the Amendment of Technical Booklet Guidance to Part R (access and use of buildings) of the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012.
The proposed amendments would ensure that new/relevant large buildings which are commonly used by the public are fitted with Changing Places Toilet (CPT) facilities. You can read more information about the consultation here.
A small group of members – Colin Shaw, Catherine Mallon and Keith McAllister – have volunteered to draft a response on behalf of RSUA.
The online engagement session at 11am on Wednesday 6 October 2021 is an opportunity to find out more about the proposed changes and to help inform the RSUA response.
