Contribute to RSUA’s position on reform to the Planning Act

03/03/2021

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) recently published a call for evidence to help inform a review of the Planning Act (NI) 2011.

The call for evidence seeks opinions on whether to retain, amend or repeal any sections of the 2011 Act, focussing on elements which relate to:

  • Local Development Plans
  • Planning Enforcement
  • Planning Control
  • Additional Planning Control (key elements of which are listed buildings and conservation areas).
  • COVID-19 Recovery

RSUA will be submitting a response to this call for evidence. You can read more about the background to the call for evidence here.

How can I contribute to the RSUA response?

Geoff Sloan is leading a small working group tasked with drafting the response on behalf of RSUA. The working group will meet online at 12.30pm on Monday 8 March.

If you would like to attend the meeting on 8 March, please contact jude@rsua.org.uk. If you cannot attend the meeting but you would still like to contribute to the response, please send your comments to jude@rsua.org.uk by Thursday 4 March – even a few bullet points would be greatly appreciated.
