Construction Professionals Council represented on Procurement Board

15/12/2020

At the start of the month the Finance Minister, Conor Murphy MLA, announced changes to the Procurement Board. The Procurement Board has responsibility for the development, dissemination and co-ordination of public procurement policy and practice for the public sector. The Board is responsible to the Executive and accountable to the Assembly.

Among the changes were the appointment of five new representatives from key sectors of the economy including construction, manufacturing, social enterprise and SMEs. RSUA is a member of the Constructions Professionals Council which is represented on the new board. These changes will allow Procurement Policy to be co-designed by those that design and deliver government contracts.
