On May 4, the Minister for the Department for Communities, Deirdre Hargey MLA, announced her intention to introduce an enabling power in primary legislation which will make provision for the introduction and enforcement of minimum standards of energy efficiency in the Private Rented Sector.
The measures comes as the Department responds to the consultation on the review of the role and regulation of the Private Rented Sector. The full detail of that response is available here.
