The Colin Connect Transport Hub and Town Square has been nominated for the official European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture, the Mies Van Der Rohe award.

The project was designed by Hall McKnight for clients at the Department for Infrastructure, the Urban Villages Initiative, Colin Neighbourhood Partnership and Translink.

The transport hub project provides facilities at the terminus of the Glider service in Belfast, including community space, public conveniences and a new public square.  This project has already been awarded the 2019 Liam McCormick Prize for Northern Ireland’s Best Building, an RSUA Design Award, Living Places Award, RSUA Project Architect of the Year Award for Richard Dougherty and a 2019 RIBA National Award.
