Belfast Film Festival: High Rise | Low Rise
21/01/2020
Belfast Film Festival is offering RSUA members discounted access to their series of screenings “High Rise | Low Rise” on Saturday 1 February which focusses on the media representation of modernist architecture and urban design in Northern Ireland between the 1950s and 1980s.
Hosted in the Masonic Lodge on Rosemary Street, the screenings playfully (and in detail) consider utopian and dystopian urban visions of Northern Ireland. The films look at a range of issues including discrimination in housing in Northern Ireland as well as case studies of Divis Flats / Shankill Road – full detail on the day’s events is available here.
RSUA members can avail of a special offer of a 2 for 1 discount on film tickets as well as a concession for the evening performance for just £4 – just enter the promo code sent on 21/01/2020. If you haven’t received a discount code please contact Julia Leaker on julia@rsua.org.uk or 028 9032 3760.
