The Architects Registration Board (ARB) has announced a new approach to the payment of annual retention fees.
From this year onward, each architect must take direct personal responsibility for paying their own retention fee and making a personal declaration that they meet ARB’s requirements.
The only route to make the declaration and payment is via the MyARB online portal. See here myarb.arb.org.uk.

With employers no longer allowed to pay the ARB fees for employees, this presents an opportunity for employers instead to pay the joint RSUA/RIBA membership fees if they do not do so already.
