Andrew Haley awarded RSUA Honorary Membership
The announcement was made at RSUA’s annual Architecture Night, this year held at the Riddel’s Warehouse, Belfast City Centre.
Andrew Haley established Paul Hogarth Company’s Belfast Office in 1999, above Barnam’s Ice Cream Shop on the Lisburn Road. He was on his own. The company is now renowned for being one of the leading Landscape Architecture and Urban Design practices on the island of Ireland.
Andrew has worked on several well-known projects including Connswater Community Greenway, the Wild Atlantic Way for Failte Ireland and Hillsborough Castle. He also contributed to the transformation of Laganside, turning Custom House Square from a dual carriageway into a civic space and revolutionising Cathedral Quarter to make it a go-to destination.
Since 2019 Andrew has also been Chair of the Ministerial Advisory Group on Architecture and the Built Environment (commonly known as MAG). During his time as Chair, Andrew has collaborated widely with councils, stakeholders, clients and communities to highlight how better places can enhance the lives of those that use them.
RSUA President Paul McAlister presented Andrew with his Honorary Membership.
