ARB publishes new five year strategy

The Architects Registration Board (ARB) has launched a new five year strategy stating “we need to modernise and transform the way in which ARB operates if architects and the public are to benefit from regulation.”

The strategy lists moving more services online to make them available 24/7 and “a more proportionate and blended approach, informed by risk assessment and including visits to institutions” when it comes to accreditation as examples of planned changes.

Architects are also being asked to ensure they have paid their retention fee by midnight on 31 December 2021 in order to remain on the Architects register,
