Rediscovering the art of sketching

On Saturday 7 October 2023, RSUA were pleased to welcome Peter Hutchinson, Chartered Landscape Architect, Chartered Designer, illustrator, product designer and artist for a 3 hour sketching/drawing workshop.

The workshop was open to people of all skills and abilities and saw 12 individuals including, both practising and retired architects, university lecturers and students, come together to reengage with the wonderful art form of sketching.

After a overview of the fundamentals the attendees left the warm confines of the RSUA boardroom and ventured out into the streets of Botanic to find their subjects and embark on their mission of filling their blank page.
