Payment issues

RSUA members have recently raised their concerns about isolated incidents of unusual payment schedules on projects being procured by Government Construction Clients. In at least one case the client did not intend to pay the architect for the duration of the construction phase which was estimated to be two years.

RSUA has agreed to meet with CPD and other relevant clients to discuss payment issues and a range of issues relating to the quality of service provided by architects.

RSUA members will be kept informed of developments.
