The Department of Finance is inviting applications for members of the Northern Ireland Building Regulations Advisory Committee (NIBRAC) and RSUA is encouraging members to apply. The Committee advises on amendments to the Building Regulations and on other associated matters. Members collaborate with other industry professionals to review the measures being put forward by the Department. NIBRAC members contribute to the detailed development of legislation and the supporting technical booklet guidance which is used daily by the wider construction industry.

In order to apply, you must have proven and current experience in at least one of the following disciplines:

  • Building regulation enforcement
  • Construction (non-domestic)
  • Building surveying
  • Structural engineering
  • Fire safety (fire protection and fire safety engineering)
  • Construction (domestic)

Whilst you can apply and be considered for more than one position, only one member will be selected from each of these areas of expertise. Other selection criteria apply. These are three year, non-remunerated appointments with the possibility of extension. Reasonable expenses incurred will be paid at Northern Ireland Civil Service rates.
