16/03/2021
The London-based think tank, Policy Exchange, is seeking entrants to the Wolfson Economics Prize and RSUA members have been invited to enter. The value of the prize is £250,000.
The Wolfson Economics Prize seeks to “create a platform for innovative solutions to leading public policy issues” and previous questions have related to currency union reform (2012), garden city design (2014) and better roads (2017).
This year’s Prize question is:
“How would you design and plan new hospitals to radically improve patient experiences, clinical outcomes, staff wellbeing and integration with wider health and social care?”
The contest is judged by a six-strong panel representing patient, clinical, architectural, and financial expertise, meaning entries will be assessed from a variety of perspectives. The Panel is Chaired by the Rt Hon Lord Kakkar, Professor of Surgery at University College London and Chair of the King’s Fund.
The competition is free to enter and interested parties must enter by 5pm BST on Friday 18th June. For more information about the prize criteria, rules and to enter, please visit www.policyexchange.org.uk/wolfsonprize
