Senior Architectural Technologist

Architects Knox and Markwell, a small but long-established practice with a respected reputation, seeks an experienced senior architectural technologist to work side-by-side with partner architects on a portfolio of projects which includes churches, Listed Buildings, arts and community buildings and one-off houses. This is a unique opportunity for an exponent of technical design with an eye for detailing to work closely with congregations, community bodies and private clients in delivering technical excellence to support the design-led ethos of the practice and to be a technical lead for other staff members.

Essential Criteria:
- At least 10 years’ post-qualifying experience in relevant fields
- Thorough working knowledge of NI Building Regulations
- Experience of producing detailed construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to follow established office protocols
- Accuracy and attention to detail whilst working to tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and delivery skills
- Proven experience of writing NBS Specifications
- Experience of running jobs on site
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- UK/EU Driving Licence

Desirable Criteria:
- Some knowledge/experience of conservation architecture
- Some knowledge/experience of ROI Building Regulations
- Some knowledge/experience of using NBS Chorus
- Some experience of working in the ecclesiastical sector
- Excellent client-facing/communication skills
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt/excellent problem-solving skills
- MCIAT qualified
- Experience of/proficiency in Sketchup/Enscape
