Grants for church repair work in Northern Ireland

26/05/2021

The National Churches Trust is a non-faith based conservation trust that promotes conservation practise and provides grants for places of worship across all regions of the UK.

They offer a range of funding opportunities and currently have a bespoke project called Treasure Ireland which is for places of worship located in Northern Ireland and this will be of interest to anyone working on, or planning to work on, a church building. Grants are offered in the range from £500-£10,000.

They encourage applicants to their grants to use conservation based principals and when a building is listed to use conservation accredited architects and contractors with appropriate heritage knowledge.

National Churches Trust granted over £250,000 for places of worship in Northern Ireland in the last grants round. The next tranche closes on 27 September 2021.
