Architect-led tour of Queen’s Conservation Area

This unique area of Belfast contains not only one of the highest concentrations of good Victorian buildings in Ireland but also a building of European importance in the Palm House located within Botanic Gardens. The tour will begin with a discussion on what conservation areas are along with a brief history of the conservation movement in Northern Ireland. Participants will then look at a range of buildings across the area; the great, the good and the iconic along with the quieter and – at face value at least – the less remarkable buildings that contribute to the overall character of the area. This tour will be delivered by Andrew Molloy from Hamilton Architects.

There is no charge to attend, but pre-booking is essential. Book here.
