Architects of the acclaimed school at Orsonnens in Switzerland, winners of numerous awards, Irene Pérez delivers the 2021 Peter Rice Lecture
The Peter Rice at Queen’s Annual Lecture is in memory of the brilliantly innovative structural engineer of some of the most significant buildings of the late twentieth century – Centre Pompidou Paris, Lloyds Building London, Menil Gallery Houston and others. Peter Rice was an Irishman and a graduate Queen’s University Belfast.
The 2021 Lecture is being delivered by Iene Pérez who together with Jaume Mayol founded of TEd’A arquitectes, a studio based in Mallorca, Spain.
TEd’A arquitectes has received significant national and international several awards, including shortlisted for the FAD awards 2011 and 2013, first prize in the Mallorca Architectural awards 2011–13, and first prize in the AJAC awards for both the best built work and the best non-built project. Their first international competition project was the acclaimed school project in Orsonnens, Switzerland. TEd’A architects have been jury members and visiting lecturers at several international universities.
Most recently they have won the Swiss Architectural Award 2019-2020.
