Story Board & Drawing Skills for Construction Professionals

Course synopsis:
This year our CPD event will explore our communication skills. Richard Henley will discuss the story board principle. This topic is aimed at the production of reports and presentations.
Michael Doherty will take a practical session – an introduction to sketching for Construction Professionals.
Michael will look at the role of the pencil in a BIM world then lead a sketching session.

Richard Henley, Principal, R A Henley and Company Limited
Until October 2016, Richard was an Associate Director at Arup. He was structural engineer on many multi-disciplinary projects including New Buildings, Historic Buildings and Modern Historic Buildings. In his career he has worked about 50/50 on new and existing buildings over 37 years of experience.
Michael Doherty, Doherty Architects
Michael is director of Doherty Architects. He introduced CAD to the practice thirty years ago and managed their transition to BIM ten years ago. Utilising the latest in technology the practice has produced many award winning buildings including the Duncairn Centre for Culture and Arts and the Creative Industried building at Weavers Court.
