RIBA Conservation Register: Pitfalls and guidance for joining

Are you considering applying to join the Conservation Register? Do you need guidance for the application process? Which level to apply for? RSUA has organised this expert seminar to provide you with all the details you need to make your application.
Course content
This course is separated into three sessions:
Session 1: Criteria for application to the Conservation Register

- What courses are appropriate?
- ICOMOS Guidelines
- What dossiers would be appropriate?
- Skills matrix
- Background reading
Session 2: Application documents
- Writing the detailed CV
- Writing the dossiers: Hints and tips
- The assessment process
Session 3: Interactive Q&A
Delegates are encouraged to bring a print of their draft application if they have already begun it, but not to worry if you have not yet taken started. Some may be discussed at the interactive Q&A session and specific queries may be addressed.
Speaker info
Peter Robinson is a Director of Alastair Coey Architects and has specialised in the Historic Built Environment working on many projects throughout UK and Ireland. In 2012 he was admitted on to the RIBA Conservation Register as a Conservation Architect and in 2015 as a Specialist Conservation Architect. From 2015-2017 he was convener of the RSUA Conservation Committee. He is currently an assessor on the RIBA Conservation Register and also a full member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation.
