ArcSoc and QCAN are delighted to announce our joint lecture this month which will be hosted by Queen’s Honorary Professor Gary Clark.
Gary Clark is an architect with a passion for sustainable architecture, and has over thirty years continually sought to bridge academic research, teaching and practice to create a sustainable future.
In his role as Principal Lead for Science and Technology at HOK’s London studio, his aim is to continue to define-develop- deliver and promote a sustainable future not only in the science and technology sector but for the whole of the built environment.
Gary’s academic experience includes teaching and research positions at The University of Cambridge, The University of Edinburgh, Robert Gordon University Aberdeen, Heriot Watt University Edinburgh, and Oxford Brookes University.
His other honorary positions include:
Chair of the RIBA Sustainable Futures Group since October 2018.
Visiting Professor of Sustainable Architecture at Robert Gordons University Aberdeen in 2016-19
Chairman of the Usable Buildings Trust and BSRIA Soft Landings User Group from 2009 until 2016
Gary’s work has been recognised by many awards, including awards from the Civic Trust and the RIBA.
