NI BIM Conference
Location: Titanic Quarter, Belfast
Date: 25 November 2016
We would like to invite you to the NI BIM Conference on Friday 25th November from 08.30-15.30 at Titanic Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The Conference, hosted by BIM Region NI, is aimed at advancing the level of BIM knowledge and promoting BIM to the industry at the highest level. It is aimed at those who procure, design, build and maintain construction assets and will look at BIM “Now and Next”. It will share the BIM progress, adoption, NI capabilities, skills, best practice and implementation through case studies and local examples.
BIM (Building Information Modelling) was brought to the attention of the industry through the UK Government Construction Strategy back in 2011. The adoption of BIM was mandated for March 2016 and applies to all centrally procured projects. There is no trigger threshold for value, size or the complexity of a project and should be adopted where it will offer the company a positive return on the investment (RICS, 2014).
