CDM 2015 for Architects and Designers

The 6th April saw the new Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015 come into effect in GB.  It is envisaged that these will be introduced in Northern Ireland fairly soon (a date of Sept/Oct is being mooted).  The new regulations will have significant implications for all those involved in construction, particularly in the defining roles and duties of the client, principal designer, principal contractor, designer and contractors.  The key driver is simple – to successfully facilitate the integration of health and safety into projects without compromising on design innovation and excellence.
