Supporting good design: Benefits of the design review process and strategic design advice
This is an opportunity to explore how collectively, we communicate and value what is important in the making of great places and how MAG’s Design Review service can optimise project development to deliver better outcomes.
The event is aimed at organisations and people who are responsible for shaping our places and spaces including project initiators, project teams, design professionals, local council development plan and development control teams.
Guest speakers include:
- Julie Tanner BSc, DipTP MRTPI, Head of Planning and Design, Design West, Bristol.
- Sharon Smyth FCIPS LLM, Chief Executive, Construction and Procurement Delivery, Department of Finance.
- Ciarán Fox, Director of Royal Society of Ulster Architects.
There will be an opportunity to share in a collective conversation on our individual and collective roles in enabling good design, and to reflect on how MAG can best support this practice.
This free event will take place in RSUA award winning St. Comgall’s, Divis Street, Belfast on Thursday 3rd October at 9.45am. Lunch will be provided at 1pm, followed by an opportunity to have a tour of the building, led by architects Hall Black Douglas.
