The adaptation of older buildings is needed to meet the needs of users and occupants today. However, repair, restoration and adaptation need to be done appropriately to ensure the built fabric is not compromised whilst also meeting statutory requirements.
This 1-hour online CPD session will discuss how to demonstrate compliance with Northern Ireland Building Regulations when using alternative materials and methods appropriate to older and historic buildings. The talk will last approximately 45mins, with an opportunity to ask questions in a 15min Q&A.
Who should attend?
This webinar is for anyone who works with or cares for older and historic buildings, including construction and architecture professionals, but could also be of benefit to building owners and those responsible for maintenance and repair, who would like to know more about making adaptations to older buildings and statutory compliance.
