Case 2: Searching for an architect should mean finding one
06/11/23
In August 2023 RSUA informed members of the drive to ensure that when a member of the public is looking for an architect in Northern Ireland that search engines are directing them to real architects and not to people or businesses who are not architects.
The information below details the second case that was brought forward to ARB.
Case 2: ACE Architectural Services Ltd
On its website ACE Architectural Services Ltd does not hold itself out as an architect’s practice and there is no record on the Architects Registration Board (ARB) register of any architect connected to the practice.
However, on 14 June 2023:
- ACE Architectural Services Ltd Google summary blurb stated ‘Architect’s in Ballymena’
- ACE Architectural Services Ltd was listed as an Architect on Yell.com
- ACE Architectural Services Ltd was listed by the 4NI.co.uk directory under Architect
On the back of RSUA’s case file, ARB wrote to ACE Architectural Services Ltd and remedial action has been taken. Examples of the before and after images are below.

RSUA has two other case files live with ARB currently. We will report on these in due course.
