Construction and Procurement Delivery (CPD) recruit a new Chief Executive

12/05/2021

The Department of Finance is currently recruiting for the position of Chief Executive in its Construction and Procurement Delivery (CPD) Division and chartered architects are eligible to apply.

CPD is the lead body for Public Procurement in Northern Ireland providing professional services to a wide range of public bodies. It also has a leading role in supporting the new Procurement Board to ensure that procurement policy is effective and supports the delivery of the Executive’s wider policy objectives and it’s Programme for Government.

CPD’s professional services include the procurement of supplies, services and construction works; advice on the management of programmes and projects; and a range of property and facilities management services.

Public procurement expenditure represents approximately 25% of the resources available to the Executive and this is an exciting opportunity to lead CPD at a time of change when the focus is on how professional procurement can make a difference in regard to economic growth, social value and the delivery of essential public services.

The Finance Minister has reconstituted the Procurement Board to bring together representatives from key industry sectors and public procurement organisations to work closely to ensure that future policy is effective. This, along with the UK’s exit from the EU, provides the opportunity to transform public procurement.

This is also a great opportunity to join the leadership team at the Department and work to deliver a range of quality services to the public, businesses and public bodies.
