MAG - Talking Places - Lunchtime Seminar

26 April 2018

The Ministerial Advisory Group (MAG) for Architecture & Built Environment is holding the latest of its “Talking Places” series of short lunchtime seminars later this month, on Thursday 26th April, at the Bishops Gate Hotel in Derry ~ Londonderry

Our guest speakers, Helen Quigley and Paul Mullan, will explore how we can use our built heritage to attract investment into our towns and cities.

Helen Quigley is Chief Executive Officer of Inner City Trust Group, a charitable group whose mission is to positively and significantly contribute to the physical, social and economic regeneration of the City of Derry/Londonderry.

Paul Mullan is the Head of the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) in Northern Ireland. Since 1994 the HLF has awarded £7.2b, £220m in Northern Ireland, to a wide range of heritage from buildings and museums to landscapes. Awarding funds from the national lottery HLF puts communities at the heart of everything that it does.

The seminar will last from 12.30pm until 2pm at the latest and is free to attend. A light lunch will be provided, again free of charge.

You would be most welcome to attend. If you have already registered, many thanks and we look forward to seeing you - but If you haven’t yet had a chance, you can find more information, and register your attendance, through the Eventbrite link below.

FAQs

Will food be provided?
We'll provide sandwiches and tea / coffee free of charge. If you're vegetarian or need to avoid gluten, please let us know in advance.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Giving us your ticket at the door will speed up checking you in and is preferred, but if you don't bring a ticket please see a member of the Secretariat when you arrive, so they can note your attendance.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
If you cannot attend, for the reasons above we ask you to cancel your ticket. The person who replaces you can then register for their own in their own name.
