BIM Level 2 for SME's

The Southern Regional College Business Support and Innovation Centre in partnership with RSUA has launched BIM Level 2 for SMEs. This training will assist smaller practices in the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) Level 2.  The course will be delivered over two full days and attendees will be encouraged to implement BIM Level 2 over the period of the course into their businesses using a small early adopter project.   


The training will cover:
- Completing a BIM readiness assessment/gap analysis and action plan
- Assessing a supply chain
- Allocating the BIM Level 2 roles on a small project
- Identify an early adopter project
- The employment information requirements (EIR)
- The BIM uses
- Model level of detail/information
- The BIM protocol
- Applying standards, methods and procedures
- The BIM execution plans
- Setting up MIDP, TIDP
- Setting up templates
- Setting up common data environment in open software
- Setting up clash avoidance processes
- Setting up construction sequencing
- Model compliance checking
- COBie
- The asset information model (AIM)
- Visualisations
